Visitting my cousin in 2 trips

By Adila Apsara - 10:34

Hi! I literally have nothing to do at the moment so I decided to post my experience in vistting my girl cousin in two separated trips. Just so you know I have three cousins who are also studying here (from Bachelor, Master, to PhD) two males and one female. The female one was the first one that I contacted when I got the idea of studying in this country :)

A lot of people told me that I look like her and even my voice is similar to her. I never noticed though LOL. So yeah that was the photo when we were in Köln. That was my first trip. I was stressed after the Nordhausen and Bochum ANP so I decided it would be best to take some refreshment before I prepare myself for the ANP in Mainz. I stayed in Köln for 3 days and 2 nights, my cousin was working in Köln at that time and also staying in her friendäs house so I became an Invader at that time HAH.

Anyway the friend has a six month old baby and he was sooo cute I think I took loads of photos but this one below was edited with one of my photoshop psd so it's quite special *_*

The first day in Köln was spent with shopping and I bought my first bathing suit in here xD because I INSISTED that we must go swimming no matter what. The second day in the morning I just spent it with reading some baby books (which gained me some more German vocabulary HAH) while my cousin wrote her Thesis.

After that, we went to the center of the city for me to hunt some photos. They weren't much but enough...

Also these two street singers were singing SWEATHER WEATHER by The Neighbourhood! Of course I owed them some of my coins haha.

At night we ate in an Asian Restaurant and after that we went to see a movie called "Honig im Kopf" which literally means "Honey inside the head"
It's a great movie. Makes you laugh and cry...

My last morning in Köln I went swimming with my cousin and I was excited because it was also my first time swimming in this country :p

After that we had some lunch and I had to catch my bus back to Frankfurt am Main.
Here are what happened afterward:

1. I packed my things in Frankfurt and stayed there for 5 days
2. I sent my huge Suitcase via myhermes to the address of my cousin in Göttingen (my girl cousin's brother)
3. I went to Göttingen and live there (as I write this I am still living in this place. Just a few days left, though)
4. I spent my first month in Göttingen doing Grammatical Online Tests and reviewing what I have learnt in B2 Course.
5. I attended a German Course level C1(!!!) at VHS Göttingen even though only for 10 days
6. I went to Mainz and do the ANP.
7. I got accepted in Studienkolleg Mainz for the Technical Course (T-Kurs)!!!

After the seventh one I called my cousin and she said I should go to her place in Olsberg and she was also, just graduated from her Master Degree. What a cool parallel, right?

So yeah... I went to Olsberg a.k.a my second trip. With a heart as light as the clouds because I finally find a place for me to stay. Which happened to be Mainz...

This time, though, I didnät bring my camera. Whata smartass. Because Olsberg is breathtakingly beautiful and just full of nature. Gee... Danke, Dilz.

My cousin currently lives with her future Mother-In-Law and everything in that place is just so cozy and makes me wanna stay longer but sadly it was another 3 days and 2 nights trip. But we went hiking when the sun was up sooo... It was pretty awesome. I also ate some foods that are "SO EUROPE ISH" most of the time when I was there so it was a pretty big leap for someone like me, who's very attached to asian foods.

Anyway I have to move to Mainz this weekend. Wish me luck!
