Random Person: So have you ever visited The Netherlands?
Me: *cough* ahaha yeah.. umm.. but only Amsterdam.
Random Person: That's nice. Do you like Amsterdam?
Me: Haha.. yea.. umm.. of course! It's very beautiful *cough cough*

**********

That would be the typical conversation of me with everyone who asks me about visitting the Netherlands. And by visitting Amsterdam, I had meant that I was two times in the Schiphol Airport without even stepping outside. And the second time it was only like a 1 hour Transit where I had to run for my life.

But say no more! For now I have visitted the coutry FOR REAL.

From the first part of the journeys of this summer break, I had mentioned about two fellow Indonesian friends that I met on the trip (who was in the same room with me in Lyon). Both of them happen to be two master students in Leiden (let's just say their names are P and E). And they invited me to visit them there.. an offer that I could never refuse.

The Journey itself happened on the 3rd until the 6th of September. I departed from Bielefeld to Dortmund to catch my bus from Dortmund to Utrecht and then took the train from Utrecht to Leiden. Complicated and exhausting, but it was worth it for Leiden is a very beautiful city and it was very nice to see the girls again.

P picked me up in the Leiden Centraal Station and I was really excited because I had read a book once about a girl who studied in Leiden and it was a very good book..

Anyway I had my DSLR with me but most of the time in Leiden I didn't take any photos with it. I was waaaayy too busy admiring the beauty of the city, eating ice cream, riding the bike, and so on.

On the next day, P, another friend and I went to Den Haag to visit the Indonesian Festival there. And I was so mesmerized because I have never seen so many Indonesian foods in Europe before all of this. But again, I didn't take many photos.

We didn't explore much of Den Haag.. just for a little bit of shopping in the town center after visitting the festival. But it was indeed a big city!

The best part of the day was actually later in the night at about one hour before midnight because P and E took me for a late night ride with the bicycle. And since they only have two bikes, I got to ride with E and just sat on the back of the bike. It was so funny and refreshing.. Leiden at night is even more breathtaking than during the day.

Again I didn't take any more photos than this one because I was sooo enjoying the moment xD

The next day, E took me to the country's capital city, Amsterdam. This time I had my DSLR with me all along for all the time :o)

Hello Amsterdam!

My beautiful Tour Guide :p

Cats, Cats everywhere!

We were heading to a flea market that opens daily, in Waterlooplein as we found this cute toy store..

Didn't take any pics of the market because I was too busy searching for a new autumn jacket (and I found it so yaaayyy!!)

Amsterdam is so pretty! Glad that I have visited this city for real this time..

And so it was my last full day in Holland.. we went back to Leiden and I headed to the following asia market to buy some foods and I was so happy because like.. 70 percent of the products inside this store is Indonesian food products haha. Oh baby, why can't Germany be like this???? :p

I was pretty sad to leave and I'm missing the girls already.. But I think we'll see each other again soon enough! And I will never say never to visiting this country again and again.
