Journeys of Summer Break 2016 (Part 3: A Road Trip to Copenhagen, The Norths, and The World Beyond)

**the title exaggerates a bit, but whatever**

Sooo... I had one of the most epic weekends of my life last week. All thanks to my two friends in Münster who decided that I could go along to Copenhagen for their planned road trip.

I was so, so excited because I have been planning to visit Copenhagen for awhile.. but failed because I had no idea how to prepare the budget myself. But my friends are geniuses and they decided to go with the car (one of us has an international driving license) and stayed for two nights in an apartment we get from airbnb. So it was like 100 euros per person (without food costs) and I think it was brilliant. However it took like minimal 4 persons on the trip for the costs to be that low. And so we had two more people with us, making us a group of five.

To be honest, I had a major problem like a week before the trip because I suddenly got another invitation that is just as important and after spending nights lying awake listening to Radical Face's Nightclothes, I decided to go to Copenhagen.. sticking to the first plan.

We departed in the morning around 8AM and it was a nice drive.. stopped for a bit in Hamburg for lunch.. and then direct to Denmark, and after a few stops and successfully crossing bridges, we stopped in one of the beautiful beaches we saw along the way.

Don't you just love the sensitive feeling that you get when you stand on the edge of the sea? Because I do.

We kept on driving forward after that and arrived in Copenhagen at night. And got the apartment's key. It was a really nice apartment although we were confused at first because there are like 5 key slots on the front door but turned out you only needed one of them to open the door fully! xD

On the next day, we directly headed to the famous Nyhavn (the one that you see when you google the pictures of "Copenhagen")

So beautiful and so elegant.. I couldn't help but to think about the movie "The Danish Girl."

And then to the botanical garden and the schloss..

Sadly enough we discovered shortly after that one of us had lost her wallet and if we could, we would have crumbled the car upside down just to find it. But turned out it was stolen (we discovered it days after that) but we then headed to the police station and reported the loss.. but after that we continued to explore the city because we didn't have much time.

And then we were at the beach, again..

The right one was "I lost my fckn wallet life sux" and the left one be like "OMG get over it doe"

And then to another beach where the famous little mermaid sits ever so elegantly..

Two more photos of the day...

We explored until it was dark, then headed to the apartment to eat and sleep because we had to depart back to Germany on the next day *creys*

On the way back home we procrastinated quite alot by visitting two more beaches and you know, just chill..

These were taken on the beach in Denmark, and the next ones are the ones from the beach in Germany..

And so we arrived in Münster pretty late at night.. and somehow still had the crazy idea for a photoshoot in front of the Münster University. Causing two polices to stumble upon us and asking what the hell were we doing. HAHAHAH.

And so it was the end of our epic journey. I think it was a really nice closing to my summer break journeys because I'm pretty sure it's the last one for this time (hell, I'm running out of money, doe)

And so.. see you again for Journeys of Winter Break 2016/17? I hope so!
